About Me

Hi there! I'm Dash Wilson, a composer, oboist, and pianist based in Chicago. My musical journey began with piano lessons at age three. Along the way, I learned harp and oboe, and am currently learning flute. The majority of my time as a performer is devoted to playing oboe, where I am honored to serve as the first chair oboist in the Chicago Youth Symphony Concert Orchestra (CYSO) under Maestro Mascari, as well as being the first chair oboist in the Wind Symphony and lead pianist for the Jazz Band at my high school. If you're wondering how I got into composing, it all started when I joined the CYSO Composition Symposium in 2022.
